Phyllis Tappe has worked with students with a variety of disabilities for over 30 years. She has a Ph.D. from the Joint Doctorate Program in Special Services from UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University. She has taught a variety of Learning Resources courses at College of Alameda with the Student Accessibility Services program, as well as in the teacher credentialing programs at SFSU and Touro University. Phyllis has published a number of peer-reviewed articles on the Universal Design for Learning and Social Supports for success. She enjoys working with students to better understand how they learn and to therapeutically enrich their learning experiences.
