Athletics

College of Alameda is one of the 116 California Community colleges in California. It is a member of the Bay Valley Conference, which has a total of 9 member schools. The Intercollegiate Athletic Programs are governed by rules and guidelines set forth by the California Community Colleges Athletic Association and they also adhere to the NCAA regulations as it pertains to the two year transfer eligibility guidelines.

Since Athletics is a facet of the total educational programs offered at College of Alameda, the student athlete will be given the opportunity to enhance their life long skills and goals similar to the goals achieved in the academic courses offered on campus. Currently in place to achieve this goal include providing our student-athletes with the most talented and experienced coaching staff for their respective sports, scheduling challenging team competition and upgrading sports facilities, training rooms and equipment .

Physical fitness and recreational sports courses are also offered at College of Alameda through the Department of Kinesiology. We challenge the student-athlete to put forth their best effort in return.
