Outreach services are available upon request (and considering staff availability) between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with direct student assistance available 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
By serving as a first point of contact the Outreach Department aims to provide resources and services that the college offers to current and prospective students. Our goal is to inform the community about their educational options regardless of their circumstances and/or background and to support in ensuring a smooth transition and enrollment process.
Our Outreach & Retention Staff Members welcome new and potential students to campus, provide printed information, enrollment support, and can often be found on-site at local high schools and community-based organizations throughout Oakland and Alameda.
Meet our team of Peer Outreach Advisers! We are students from diverse backgrounds who use our experience to help you apply, enroll, and persist.
Services Offered
Our Outreach department staff is available to provide presentations that inform prospective students about our departments, programs, services and general college information. These presentations can be adjusted based on request and can be delivered in person and virtually.

Our Outreach team will provide application support and guide prospective students with the process of applying through CCCApply as well as other campus related applications such as: Financial Aid, EOP&S/C.A.R.E., Student Accessibility Services, etc. Workshops are designed to be presented in classes or traditional workshop settings.

Our dedicated staff can table and promote the benefits of attending College of Alameda at your next event.

CoA Representatives will attend or schedule specific parents’ meetings at school sites to provide a comprehensive list of services, enrollment support and guidance to better understand College of Alameda’s opportunities. English and Spanish presentations are available.
Please provide at least 1.5 hours to interact with parents.

Have a space in your career center/office/classroom and want to promote the importance of a college education? Let us know so that we can send some outreach materials your way.
Please allow 2 weeks for delivery.
Prospective students and their parents are invited to take a guided or self-guided tour of the College of Alameda’s campus. Tours will begin in Building A by the Welcome Center.
Tours last approximately 30 minutes and require a reservation. Guided tours are offered on Fridays at 1pm.
