Guidance on Writing College-Level Papers

Below are samples of papers written in correct format for students to use as a model or template in formatting their own papers for submission to the politics program.

It is our goal to encourage college-level writing as a crucial basic skill in being a successful student.

The CoA Learning Resource Center is located on the second floor of the library.  The COA Learning Resource Center includes an Open Lab, Math Lab, Writing/ESL Lab, Accounting Lab, and Tutorial Center.

Please note: all currently enrolled Peralta students who wish to utilize LRC services (Open Lab, Math Lab, Writing/ESL Lab, Accounting Lab, Tutorial Center), must first enroll in LRNE 501 prior to receiving services. There is no fee for students enrolling in this service, and it will not appear on a student’s official transcript.

Students should allow for a minimum of 24 hours for LRNE 501 enrollment to be processed into the LRC database prior to student use.

The Tutorial Center, located near L202C: Individual and/or group tutorial assistance by appt. or drop-in. All appts. must be made in person. Subject areas include, but are not limited to, English/ESL, mathematics, Spanish, sciences, business, and vocational studies.

 The Writing Center/ESL Lab, Room L231: English/ESL computer-based assistance in a drop-in, lab setting.

The Open Lab, Room L202D: Computer access available to students for word processing, internet, and college-related software applications. Printing is available at $0.10 per page.
