The College of Alameda Counseling Services Department supports students with academic planning, transfer & career guidance, and personal support to help them achieve their educational goals.
The College of Alameda Financial Aid Department is dedicated to inspiring a diverse and multicultural student body by offering timely access to financial aid, promoting financial literacy, and providing essential support services.

Campus Life
The College of Alameda Athletics Program provides students with opportunities to compete in intercollegiate sports while promoting teamwork, leadership, academic success, and overall student development.
College of Alameda has grouped all majors and disciplines into five fields of study. Each field of study consists of a group of related programs of study based on similar core classes and career paths.
The College of Alameda Puente Program has helped tens of thousands of educationally disadvantaged students to enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.
The College of Alameda SALAAM Learning Program provides integrated academic, financial, and student support services to South West Asian and North African (SWANA) and Arab-American students’ journeys toward attainment of a certificate, degree, or transfer to a university within 2-3 years.

The College of Alameda Umoja Program serves as a critical resource for enhancing the cultural and educational experiences of African, African American, and other students.
Additional Resources
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides services designed to meet the unique educational needs of enrolled CoA students with documented disabilities.
The Adult Transitions Program is a consortium of Community Colleges and Adult Schools in collaboration with community-based organizations to enable adults to advance education, obtain employment, and improve wages.
Basic Needs at College of Alameda takes a holistic, student-centered approach to helping students with the basics, so that they can focus on their education.
CalWORKs can help students receive public assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), get access to vital services such as work study, job placement, childcare, curriculum development, skills training, and more.
The Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education Program is available to EOPS students who are single parents receiving public assistance. CARE offers additional support services so students can transition from welfare dependency.
Our aim is to help demystify voter empowerment and civic engagement, and connect students with resources, services, and partnerships that will help them in their journey to become active and empowered global citizens.
Extended Opportunity Programs and Services is a state-funded program designed to provide support services to low-income and academically disadvantaged students to become successful in college.
Our Wellness Center at College of Alameda is committed to providing accessible, compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed mental health support services to empower our community college members.
The Learning Resources Center (LRC) at College of Alameda provides free, comprehensive academic support to help students succeed. The LRC also offers individual and small-group tutoring, both in-person and via Zoom.
The College of Alameda Library, located on the first floor of the L Building, offers students a rich mix of in-person and online resources, including more than 23,000 books, over 40 databases, e-books, and streaming media.
The NextUp Program is for current and former foster youth. The program provides comprehensive counseling for academic, career, and personal support.
The Transfer Center is here to provide you with the information and tools you need to transfer to a 4-year college or university as efficiently as possible.
