On-Campus Resources
College of Alameda Diaper Bank – Students currently enrolled at CoA can request a supply of diapers in a variety of sizes (with wipes) on a monthly basis by submitting the request form HERE.
- Strict limits of 2 packs of diapers and 2 packs of wipes – per child/per household/per month.
- Students must have a valid Student ID card with a current term sticker.
- Diapers are only available while supplies last and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Diaper availability is not guaranteed.
- Students must submit a request in advance – we will contact the student by email when diapers are ready for pick-up.
- Diaper pick-ups will primarily be held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, with more days added if staffing permits.
College of Alameda EOPS/CARE – CARE is available to EOPS students who are single parents receiving public assistance. CARE offers additional support services so students can transition from welfare dependency by securing the education, training, and marketable skills needed for self-sufficiency and upward social mobility. College of Alameda CalWORKs – CalWORKs at College of Alameda can help students receiving public assistance, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), get access to vital services such as work-study, job placement, childcare, curriculum development, skills training, and more. Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) – the California WIC program helps families across the state by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy foods, and referrals to health care and other community services. More information HERE.
Alameda County Community Food Bank – Get referrals for groceries or hot meals now: Call the helpline at (510) 635-3663, or visit foodnow.net.
Dial 2-1-1 or visit – 211alamedacounty.org for help with Health, Housing, and Human Services in Alameda County.
CalFresh – Apply for food stamps in 10 minutes: getcalfresh.org.
California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) – up to $3,756 for tax year 2025 as a working family or individual earning up to $32,900 per year. Check if you qualify HERE.
Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC) – provides a credit of up to $1,189 per tax return for Californians who qualify for CalEITC and have a child under 6 years old. See overview HERE.
